Ok just curious what your suppose to do. I shot a buck sunday morning, unfortunately tracked for hours but never found it. If by some chance he is found dead at a later date, say in 2 weeks. And I of course want the rack am I supposed to tag it before bringing rack back home?

I got a feeling he may make another day, his blood finally clotted and found no more. It would or could be my first buck with bow, so my feeling are about 50-50 on find it later or kept on living. I know exactly where I hit. Right below the heart about a inch, through the briskit fat. But he bleed pretty good for aways

You could of missed all vitals... A low brisket shot will bleed a lot... You also have the void area if you hit way high

It would be great if he walked in front of you for another chance at him.
