do hogs move around during the day more often as opposed to only at night, only duringthe warmer weather? I'd really like to see if i can go lookng for them during the day or am i restricted to only having success hunting at night.
also, is it ok to go out and check my game cam everyday or do i wait a certain number of days first? and is there an ideal height that i should set my camera up? thanks.
First one down, many many more to come!

As it cools down they seem to be more active during the day as opposed to warmer weather. Early morning and right at sundown is best. Usually.

On a day like today where its cold and overcast I find them moving during the day some. I especially see alot of movement right after sunrise and right before sunset. In fact, I got a boar that was just cruising around tonight while i was in deer stand.
As for the trail cam, sometimes I am so excited to see whats on it I will check it daily. Some people will warn you to wear gloves to keep your scent off but I don't do that. As for mounting it, set it up hight enough that deer and hogs will cause it to take pictures, but not every coon. I put it about as high up as I think a deer's head is.

Cooler weather means more movement
I only check cams 1 a week. Keep cam as far away from feeder as possible and closer to your blind so if you do have to check it you don't scent up the area.
It blows my mind how hard people will work to set up a feeder and blind / stand and never really think about cam placement.

Hogs will move during the cooler parts(night) of the day up to a certain point.
Once it gets really cold the pigs will huddle during the coldest parts of the night and move around during the day.
best thing to do is get them patterned by using a feeder.

I set my cameras between 3 and 4 feet high and as far back from the feeder as I can and still get the infrared flash to pick up at night. They have about a 40' range.
Hogs will definitely move more in daylight (especially dawn/dusk) as the weather gets cooler.

While it may be typical that hogs are out and about more in cooler weather, that hasn't been the case at my place. Daylight events seem to occur randomly and all year long. The hogs understand that daylight and in the open is not their happy place.
