I was just curious if cooler weather effects an arrows flight, or your bow? I am about 99% it is just me but I went out this afternoon and couldnt hit the broad side of a barn. I went from shooting 2" groups at 20yrds to shooting 8" groups.

There is a difference in air pressure and atmospheric weight. if there is a lot of moisture in the air and you sight in your bow you could be dead on and then you go shoot in a lighter atmosphere there will be a difference. Arrows will have less friction on the vanes and will travel differently. You may or ma not be able to notice depending on what equipment you are using. Just like playing football in Denver. The ball fly's differently.

Cold weather will mess up your arrow flight. Its because your strings contract or harden up. IMO

Especially when high wind is factored in as well.

I've bow hunted in temps for 0-100 degrees and the only difference I can tell is when it's really cold my muscles are stiffer and the bow if harder to pull. As far as arrow flight going from 2 inches to 8 inches sounds to me you were just having a bad day shooting.

YES! ... it makes it nicer to hunt, go out back and practice, etc. I haven't noticed temperature making a difference that I also couldn't blame on myself. I just try harder to focus the next time I practice, after resting a day or two.
Boom!

Very cold temps definitely makes your bow harder to pull back. When you go out and practice in the cold, the most important arrow is your first I always say. Its the closest thing to when you hunt.

It's not going to make enough difference if your hunting in Texas; todays String companies use about the same material, and it's good. It bothers the living heck out of me becasue I'm getting older than dirt.. (or feel that way)

No, weather doesn't effect the velocity or trajectory of an arrow at all.
