Glad you got most of your stuff back. Many departments use a data base that will show any pawn shop a suspect or thief has used and what was pawned. If they haven't done that, they should. If they don't have the program, I know of departments that do and will provide that infor to the investigator.
Good Luck

No. There is an F&I Pawn in Sherman & one in Denison. My wife's uncle owns the one in Denison. But he doesn't even run it anymore, his daughter does. Deewayne found his guns in Sherman. But, and it's a big butt, they are brothers. So.....
Glad you got some of your guns back, and I hope you find the others smile

Glad you got your guns back, I grew up with Butch Morgan's son and he's a good christian man. I hate to hear that kind of reaction from Cliff at Best Pawn.

Cliff is like his Dad, Hates to see that money going out, not in laugh

Same with Mike at F&I in Sherman...

Glad to hear that you got your guns back. What kind of family member runs off with your guns???

I developed the opinion many years ago that Pawn Brokers are the scum of the earth and rank them with Bail Bonds men and mob Loan Sharks. It made my day to hear that the man squirmed and cried at the thought of losing $100 when his chosen profession gives a forum to thieves to sell stolen items and by their existence facilitates and encourages theft.

Great advice my son's house was broken into a few years ago and all of his guns were stolen and because he had not recorded the serial#s he never recovered any of them.

Glad to hear of the outcome. Some pawnbrokers just don't understand that this type of situation is simply the price of doing business as a pawn shop.

His behavior indicates he regularly and willingly engages in and supports stolen property.

Pawn Shops are like every business and operate in the idea of making a profit, however, it seems that an awfully high percentage tend to try to steal the items hocked and look the other way at what they pawn broke...If the State applied their own rules to them the same way that they have to the old Consumer
Finance business you would not see this occur nearly as much.
And they are under the Commisioner that regulates Finance offices
large and small...Consumer Credit Commision..you should file a
complaint..and see where it takes you..Don

Best Pawn is a business for profit. They know that some of the items coming in are possibly stolen and I have heard Cliff flat out ask, Is this stolen/HOT stuff. He turns stuff away too if not comfortable.
The 2 Pawn Shops in Sherman/Denison I had a very good working relation with was F&I in Sherman & the one in Denison. The Marr's are good people. Don Montgomery started Best Pawn and now his son Cliff has the reins. Pawn Shops do not generally have a high class clientele. Besides people needing a temporary loan to get by or sell unwanted/un-needed merchandise, there are the bad folks that go to the Pawn Shops to rid their ill gotten gains.
There are good shop owners and there are some as crooked as their customers.
Same thing can happen to you when you buy a gun FTF from someone you think you know and it ends up being stolen. You lose the gun and you $$$$. Are you a happy camper? NO!
Same in their business world.

Glad to hear you got some of your guns back!

Something else to do is email the pictures and serial numbers to yourself. I made an excel document and saved all the information and then emailed it to myself just in case they stole my laptop, which is always setting on the coach, I would still have the info.
