I have a quartered deer in the freezer. I want to grind some and cut some steaks but was wondering if I would be ok in refreezing it for later use?

I do it all the time with chicken, beef, and pork. It cuts and grinds better if it is still half frozen anyway.

The rule of refreezing unthawed meat is a myth. You just need to make sure it is sealed in an air tight container so it doesn't get contaminated during the thawing process. I do it all of the time.

Add me to the list of thawers and refreezers.

you actually already do it and most people dont know. 90% of the meat you buy in your grocers meat section was previously frozen. You take it home and refreeze it.

Its perfectly safe.
