If you had 800 dollars to spend would you get one or two cuddy backs, or more of the cheaper ones like the 99 dollar moultries?

I can tell you what the difference is between a cheapie and a better camera!! Some of the cheaper ones are slower when they detect movement and consequently you get the tail end of whatever is moving!My2cents

I don't know anyone with a Cudde. I was in the same position towards the end of the season. I bought the Moutrie I40 and have been happy with it so far.

Is that the IR one? I have the D40 right now, and I think my old D2.0's took better pics.

Do you have one of these? I have been looking at different ones for a while, and they look nice.

Are you going to be setting it up on a trail or feeder. If you are setting it up on a feeder that opens you up big time. We use the wildview 2.0 for $79 ea. Have had 6 of them for 3 years and they work great year round but I would not use them on a trail. They are too slow. About 4 second trigger.

Most of the time they are set up on feeders, but would like to have at least one that I can set on a trail. I have 2 moultries, the old 2 mega pixel, and a newer 4 megapixel. I want a nice one that takes great pics, and will last.

Yes, the I40 is IR. My only exerience on the Reconyx is we set one up on a carcass one evening. The next morning we went back to check it. The carcass had been chewed on, but the camera didn't have a picture on it. In all fairness, I've seen a deer in front of an I40 that wasn't photographed either?

I was reading on the chasingame website, and they are not to happy with the reconyx. They seem to like the I40, and I60.

I think the I60 has a display/viewing screen and more megapixels, but from the reading I've done everyone that owns both says go with the I40 if you have another way to read your SD card. I'm impressed by the battery life. I put mine out in Feb and still had over 90% battery life last month when I checked it. My old Moultries ate batteries if I didn't have the solar charger hooked up. I plan to get their solar/battery pack designed to work with my I40, then I shouldn't have to ever buy more batteries.

Wow, the m-40 I have will not make a month on a set of batteries. The sd card is one of the reasons I don't want to go with the cuddyback, they take the compact flash cards. I have a stack of sd cards, and sd cards can fit directly in my lap top.

You should check out the new buckeyecam apollo, they are starting to ship pre-orders this next week so chasingame should be starting their review very soon. I will have a large inventory and will be running special deals, I will also be at the TTHA show in Ft. Worth.

How much are they? I really want to know that this will last and take great pics before I pay alot for one. Paying a 100 dollars for one that isn't great is one thing, but I want to make sure I get something good if I am going to be spending alot.

The apollo starts at $599 and is upgradeable to a wireless model. I have used the Orion (wireless model) since last july I have probably taken over 100,000 pictures between my 7 cameras. You can also get a solar panel so the camera can run indefinitely, they say the battery will finally give it up after 3 years.

I don't need the wireless, I check my cams everyday. They are all less that a 15 minute 4 wheeler ride. 600 is a lot to spend, is this cam really worth that much?

I am begining to lean that way, I was all set to buy a cuddie back, but the reveiws weren't very good. But on the other hand I want the pics to be VERY clear, and for the cam to last.

Chasingame website had lots of issues with the one they tested. Maybe soon they will have a updated test on the new models.

I think they are, I spent over 1,000 on each one of mine. They are used around the world for research, the military currently has hundreds of systems in the middle east. I've been down the cheap camera road and wasted thousands of dollars on cams that worked less than a
month. If you want some customer reviews make a post over on chasingame or qdma when its back up. I am a little biased but it's the truth.

Thanks where are you located? What kind of specials? Do you have an on-line store? Also what kind of customer service can I expect if I buy one of these, warranty and such?

Our store is in Dallas, we actually do have an online store, www.dfwheavydutyparts.com I just have standard prices on there right now. All the cameras come with a one year warranty, any questions you have you can call or email me or anyone at buckeyecam, I spent over 45 minutes on the phone with one of my customers walking him through the setup, don't get me wrong the cameras are very straight forward and simple to use. The specials will be different types of packages (solar and wireless) etc.
