Leaving at 4am to head to San Angelo for a mgmt hunt with PHFH. I have the truck packed and I'm so excited I could leave right now. Lots of stories, some good food, a lil' cussing, and I'm sure some drinking might occur. I am taking my dad this year and it will be his 1st time deer hunting and hopefully his 1st time killing a deer. It's funny how I'm 28yo and my dad has taken me duck hunting since I was 8 and now I get to repay the favor and show him something new at 52yo. I'm going to try and keep this updated as much as possible with posts and pics of kill hopefully. So stay tuned and hopefully you guys enjoy it.

You couldn't find a better young man to go hunting with! I think you and your dad will have a great time and see lots of deer! Hope you both get the one you are after!
High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

We are up this morning getting ready to head out. My dad connected on his 1st deer last night. Will try and post pics when we get back. It was a cull 8 point. I passed on 2 nice 8s yesterday afternoon since it was the 1st hunt. We had a 150+ 11 point, a 9, two 8s, a 7 and some does. Hoping something good comes out this morning.

Saw some nice deer this am. Neither of us shot one but I saw a 9 point that I'll prob try and go after. Still working on the pics. A lil difficult on the phone.
