I recently got myself a lc9 and she loved it and wanted one to carry... I took her out to shoot it and we decided the recoil was too much for to handle I wanna get something w less recoil but bigger than a 25. I've never owned a 380 before and I was wondering if there would be a noticeable difference between it and my 9mm?

The recoil is. Less. That size of pistol is still going to be pretty snappy though.

Bersa .380 is still a pretty good bang for the buck. If she is new to handguns, a good double action revolver is hard to beat.
Simple. Reliable. And if you buy a .357 she can shoot .38 SPL from it til the cows come home.

I thought bout the revolver but I didn't like the idea of the long hard trigger pull and she didn't like the idea of cocking it each time between shots... She has some exp with handguns but it's minimal. Oh and the gun has to be a "fun color" lol

I've found that 380s are noticeably less in recoil. I would have her try a Ruger lcr or a Sig p238

There was a tempting Walther PPK .32 APC in the classifieds recently.
Recoil should be very mild and hand fit should be good. Nice looking guns as well.

I made the mistake of purchasing several semi autos for my wife and she didn't like either (Bersa & Taurus 709). She doesn't shoot much and thought the semi autos were too complicated. We finally found a pistol she liked, the Ruger LCR .38 +P. She likes the weight and ease of use. She's only shot .38 special for practice and I purchased Hornady 110 grain low recoil .38 special for self defense rounds.

any of those small pistols will be difficult and punishing to shoot, especially if you shoot a 9mm or beyond.
A bigger grip, you can hold on to it better, absorb recoil better, and generally has better sights. I'd go for a bigger pistol before getting a tiny one.
The issue with my wife is that she doesn't like the weight. She really didn't like shooting pistols untill she found my buckmark camper. I think I'll keep an eye out for another .22lr pistol, one without a bull barrel. maybe later I can get her to like a real service pistol.

Another vote for the LCR in 38 special, lightweight and has a great trigger pull. Girlfriend went to the local toystore and tried all the guns in the case and came home with the LCR.

Walther PK380. Pretty sure it was built for women. Light recoil and slide is very easy to operate.

We have his & hers Sig p238 .380s that we carry (and love). This was my wife's first handgun, and she's barely 5ft tall and 100lbs soaking wet. She shoots the pistol better than I do.
It's the same gun as the old Colt mustang, which pretty much a mini 1911--a proven, time tested design.

I and my wife have each a Bersa Thunder .380, good guns for the money. Also a good CC gun.

This one is pricey but really a good shooter for the girls. Baretta Cheetah, 380 auto, they are hard to find. Grip is larger than the Bersa but a good size for the girls. Not very snappy and pretty acurate. They run about 600 though, I love to shoot this one.

2nd on the Walther pk380. Right for mine. We tried 100 different ones out, she chose this one for the fit.

My grandmother, and girlfriend have a p238 and love them. My girlfriend is 5'6, small frame, very small hands and she loves to shoot the 238. My grandmother is 5'8, larger framd and has average size hands and she likes the 238.
My mom is 4'8 and very small frame and has shot the p238 and likes it ALOT better than an lcp (she says its to snappy and she cant opperate the slide like she can on the p238) or a beretta 92fs (she says its to heavy).
I like to carry the 238 over the lcp because the sights are 100X better and i feel its slightly more accurate. The lcp is pretty snappy.

I thought bout the revolver but I didn't like the idea of the long hard trigger pull and she didn't like the idea of cocking it each time between shots... She has some exp with handguns but it's minimal. Oh and the gun has to be a "fun color" lol Most women carrying concealed have their hand in their purse on their gun, right? S&W air weight w/shrouded hammer DAO. Charter Arms Pink Lady DAO. A few others... DAO long trigger puls would be the safest in her purse and she won't be fumbling for a safety. Firing a semi auto inside of her purse will most likely get her a SLIDE BITE. No worries about that on a DAO revolver with a lot more knockdown like the .38 special.

My Bersa Thunder 380, The S&W M&P Shield 9mm and the Springfield XDs 45acp are all real close to the same physical size. OAL and OAH. The weights empty are not too far apart either. My Sig P-239 is slightly larger but about 8-10oz heavier.

Really nice guns, but a little expensive.
