I'm looking to buy a 25 - 30 gun safe. Looking for a quality safe with combo dial, approx 900 lbs or more. Double step door with bolts on all four sides.
Anyone know of a place to get a good one or trying to sell one?

Crawdad I would start with getting your post count up, and start a thread in the for sale section.

You will get more traffic with a thread like this in that section.

Good luck.

Any good locksmith shop will be able to help with your request. I am a locksmith and stay away from that junk they sale at Academy,Tractor Supply and the big sports stores. Looks like you have done a little research on gunsafes. Get a safe with a 2 hour fire rating and mount it on the outside wall of your house. You don't want a safe in the center of your house, that is where the house caves in and the heat is the highest.

Lots of good safes out there. This in not anything new, but always buy more safe than you think you need. You will fill it up.

just get what you can, all safes can be broken into with the right tools.

Do your homework, read article after article, review youtube videos. Look for one that is heavy metal with doors that a pry bar cannot get into.

I have zero complaints about my Liberty. Do your research though on what you want and make sure you get one that's big enough. I got a Lincoln 50 model and its already half full.

After Browning, my next choice is a Winchester Silverado safe for less money. Excellent safe as well.

Buy a MUCH bigger safe than you think you need.

1. somehow the gun population in the house seems to grow like coat hangers. smile

2. gun safe manufacturers LIE. a 25-30 gun safe will hold about 12 to 15 guns.

HTH

I bought a Granite Security Safe from Rays Hardware in Dallas. Years ago. They are made in Ft. worth.

Liberty Franklin is what I went with, great safe. Around 900lbs. These guys were easy to deal with. Delivered and anchored to floor.

Fort Knox all the way. I know of Browning reps that own Fort Knox safes.

I'm with Lone Cowboy. Buy larger than you think you will need.

I only have two hunting rifles, two .22's, and two shotguns in my 14 gun safe and am pretty sure that I can only fit 4-5 more. Wish I had gone bigger for further expansion.

Check out sportsmansteelsafes.com . Great American made safes at factory prices. They destroy Fort Knox and Liberty.
