I figured out I'm a fair weather bowhunter. It's flooding here w/ some slight breaks in it....so I opted to stay in the truck and shoot a hawg if one will show up.

In the popup, nice and dry, deer coming and going all morn. Big young 8, little 8, baby 6, 2 does, turkey chirping to the east, 2 coons that wouldn't be with us had my lite been on my bow.

Deer are moving. Doe and two fawns just showed up. Even though the feeder isn't working.

3 doe so far. Sitting in a tree stand having to hold an umbrella. Days like this is when those boys with the pop ups are lucky

Popup on one side of feeder and ladder on the other at all 3 spots. Can hunt in any condition. Learned that a long time ago.

In the popup and I can hear them...but haven't seen them yet. Rain just picked up a bit...hope they start movin soon...too much mud and my truck won,t make it off the lease with the rhino trailered.
I'd be a vegitarian too if bacon grew on trees.

How much hold over is required for a 800yd shot with a 410gr arrow at 280fps? Anyone got that ballistic calculator, lol?

Count me in. Not that bad here yet. Had two doe at the feeder early about a 100 pound boar hog ran them off and went to town on my corn....he is dead now.

It's pouring here in Fairfield, no deer so far. If the rain doesn't let up soon i will be heading into town, bacon and eggs sounds good.

I think my pop up has seen its better days, your dry as long as you sit right in the middle. Nothing at the feeder but a pile of corn.

Rain just let up here in Montague. I am sitting on my tripod. Damn pigs broke through my fence and destroyed my feeder. Have pictures on game cam of a pretty big boar who did all the damage. I think it is time to find a hog trap.

That's it I'm out. No movement at all, cows are now around my feeder and the rain is only getting worse. Hopefully it will let up for tonight.

I'm in it to but it is just light rain in rains co. I'm in a big cedar tree so for the most part I am staying dry. The deer are not moving it has been years since I have hunted and not seen 1 deer. I guess thats how it goes.
