I have an old 870 with a 20 inch barrel. On the barrel is stamped USMC. It has sling swivels. The barrel is marked mod. but it has been cut off (professionally). I think it may have been a MP Shotgun during the Korean War time. Does anyone have any idea about these guns or their value?

In January, 1950 Remington announced its new Model 870 "Wingmaster" shotgun, which has become the largest selling pump action shotgun in the world.
Even done professionally, the change to the factory barrel will depreciate any value tremendously.

Send collectors firearms in houston some pictures, and ask them to assess it. If they give you an offer double it and subtract 50.00 and that is what it is worth.
