Shot a two man limit this morning before. Put them on ice all day and after work I started cleaning them and noticed they all these little beetles/water bugs all over them. Does any body know these are and are they safe to eat

Duck lice. No biggie. Most ducks will have them. They don't affect the meat on the birds.

OMG, this is the best slumber party ever!

I notice less of them after cold weather sets in but do still see a few. Like said above they don't hurt the meat.

Those are a form of pubic lice. They will multiply if you don't shave your southern region of you know what I mean. It needs to be done as soon as you can or you will be infested. Good luck with it.

just shave one side, then light the other side on fire and stab the lice with an ice pick when they run out

Sounds like a better excuse for the ol'lady then the "I got them from a public bathroom". I'll have to file that one away for future reference. clap grin

Wayne,
Maybe you should stick to plucking the ducks with your clothes on.

confused2 The woods aint no fun unless you get naked every now and again. Like naked 4 wheeler riding at midnight. It can happen!

Please do this in private in your house and not in the front yard because chances are good that you will get a ticket for hunting pubic lice in public.

Plus you do not want scouters trying to get into your public pubic spot behind your back.

Private is always better. And if you do not have private property, I heard that Paradise Waterfowl is still accepting members. Not sure if they offer private pubic hunting so ask specifically when you call them.
