Anybody heard anything about them? I grew up shooting my dad's old A5 and I loved it. I am considering buying one? I currently shoot a Beretta Xtrema 2 and Benelli Nova Pump. What do you guys thing about the new A5's?

They should have named it the Auto 6. It has nothing in common with the Auto 5.

If they balance, point, and feel like the old A5s then that's what really matters. The insides and all the extra bells would be an improvement.

Oh and there was a post about the new A5 a few weeks ago by a guy who got one. Sounded like he was happy so far.

buddy of mine got his from Cableas in Allen a week or so ago... Its really nice! Love the signature Browning 4th shell autoload feature!!!

They should have named it the Auto 6. It has nothing in common with the Auto 5. My friend got one and its not the A5. It has a smaller hump and a longer forarm, and its very light.

I have a friend in WI who was able to shoot his friend's new one at doves last weekend. He said even with 12 ga 1 oz 7-1/2s, it kicked a LOT harder than his 870 shooting 1-1/4 ozs of lead shot.

wish they weren't 1200-1500  . I won't shoot anything but an A5, have all my life and not changing. Although I did like the pair of beretta O/Us I shot, especially the 28 gauge.

I find that very hard to believe. The 870 was probably heavier and the A5 is recoil action. It doesn't seem so hard to believe that the A5 would have more felt recoil even with difference in loads. I like the old A5's. I would love to shoot one of the new ones.

If you look you can sometimes find a Mod 11 Remington which is the A5 prior to it being made here...I have two..my Dad's old 20
ga. and a 12 ga I purchased and put new wood on..it has the safety in the front of the trigger guard and a solid rib..It is
much better for a Southpaw as I do not engage the safety when I pull the trigger..And usually the Rem. is a little cheaper than the Browning..and is the identical same weapon..Don

Most parts between the A5 and all of the shotguns manufactured off of the Browning patent will interchange, but each one has some differences from the original.
Thought for the day: Ducks were almost hunted to extinction long before camo was invented.

the subtle differences between a model 11 and an A5 make the model 11 one of the ugliest guns ever made, and the A5 one of the best looking.

I have one of the new A5's and it is AWESOME!!! It is very easy to fit the gun to what you like and it shoulders perfectly for me. There is more recoil than my old Beretta AL391 but NOTHING like my 870. It really is the finest gun I have ever shot!!
