I'm thinking he's not older than 3.5 (and boney),but very small brow tines on a semi wet year make me think he may not grow em. What do y'all think?

he may be a cull to some... but a trophy to others... guess it would depend on your location, and how many acres you have, residnet deer population and alot of other factors... i like to watch them get older and see how funky they get... but thats my own personal prefence...

Looks like he obviously has inferior brow tine genetics but like said before depends on location and quality of the other bucks.

Here's some questions to ask:
Is the place LF/HF? Is that look on a deer rare? What does the B:D ratio look like? Does that deer have more antler than others in its age class?

Any deer by bow is a trophy so no I would not call that a cull buck.

I would cull him strictly due to lack of brows regardless of what my other deer looked like. He's basically a 7 maybe even a 6 in my mind because that one brow will barely make an inch. Anything on our place at 3 better have 8pts or more or its going down.

are you sure he's young. sometimes a 7.5 yr old looks similar to a young one.
i shot one last year as a cull, my buddy thought he was young, but he was aged at 8.5. almost no teeth left i could be wrong... but his face doesnt look like a youngster.
on our place, i would whack him either way due to genetics and number of deer we need to take each year.
Stuff my dad said in the deer blind
"I can dive deeper and come up drier" "did you do that?"

Give him another year. I had a buck that looked similar one year and let him walk. The next year he was quite impressive. Age does wonders.
