Party tonight, lose hope of another teal championship.
Went to 4 different lakes and a private place and all the miles later all I saw was a coot. I guess the storm moved em out. One lake I was seeing a few at regularly not a whole ton. Another lake I saw hundreds a few days ago and nada now. Oh well guess since the dove hunting has been good it time for the bad.

I checked a lake this morning that had been holding large numbers of birds and it was empty too. I am still going out! I got faith!

My wife's car is in the shop, so I did not scout today as planned, but I might throw the yak on the truck and go run and gun a few decoys someplace close just because. To be honest, I seldom scout for teal hunts anyway.

I scouted last Sunday and found some, I'll be hitting that spot in the AM, but no guarantee. But you know, I have gone out every open morning since 2006, most of which I never scouted, and I always had at least 1 fly by. Really, even if you have not found the x, I would still encourage everyone to get out there and throw out some deeks. You have a very good probability of some buzzing your spread because them teal like to make the rounds even tho they have no intention of landing...
