The video makes him look like grandpa jones with his white beard... And that pic of him two years ago makes him look much older than the current pics make him appear. I am guessing there wasn't as much food or something and he looked a little more wasted than this year.

That first pic he looked older with the pot-belly, but the next couple he looked younger. My opinion initially was 4.5 but after looking at the video and the pic from two years ago, I have to adjust that by several years. He is at least 6.5 and may go 7.5 yo.

This years photos he looks really healthy. Deceiving.

Stx, what (other than just guessing he was older based on the thread) gives you the opinion this deer is 6 yo based on the top set of pics? I am newer to this game than I like to admit and would like any bit of info I can gather....

Just first impression by looking at broadside pic on top and body shape of him for a late summer pic. Belly line is full all the way across. Thick shoulder area and thick neck for summer. Loose skin is showing for this time of year. The brisket is below his "elbow" joint on his first leg. His front knee joints are swollen from years of abuse. I have not looked at the video yet of him so all that was from the pics above.

I really hope I start getting some day time pics of the deer on my lease, I find the IR pics more difficult to read than normal pics.

Color nighttime pics vs. IR black and white are much better for aging deer and telling detail on them IMO.

I'm sticking with my initial guesstimate.

I was thinking two different deer also top one look 6 the other two look 4.5

It's the same buck. I don't have too many 15 points running around on my place that are 20" wide with a split beam and a drop tine. He's pretty unmistakable. At the oldest he is 6.5 years old. From the history I have had with him though, I have him at 5.5. He roams quite a bit and I have pictures of him during season at every camera location on 1,500 acres.

Now new question, what does he score? If I can convince my neighbors, I think I am going to let him go one more year.

Also he's a main frame 10, has two kickers on his inside right main beam that agree right at 2" per. Has a split main beam on the left side that is about 6" long with a 4" drop. Also has a split g2 on the left side.

Your neighbors might think your crazy or at least I do.

Im leaning to 7 or better.

Looks to be mid 160's with what I can see and that was only 12 points, so he is bigger if has 15.
