I really want to get in on this. If anyone would like to share cost let me know. I would like to leave on evening of 11/14 and come back on 11/18. We can take yours or mine.Leaving from Tyler area. Ok, a little more info. Non-smoker, light drinker and if it was'nt recorded before about 1985 my dogs don't want to hear it. Anyways if someone wants to share expenses and get in on this let me know.

Waab- With the interest and good turn outs the way they are it'll be a yearly thing as long as we have guys that's like to go. We had a great time last year, look forward to having you come along next year.

Zach I'm making the trek from Austin. Should be a fun 12-13 hour drive...
the thing about baiting is, even a rookie hunter could have a 170 bird season if they bait holes

Not trying to be a downer but bird numbers are down in the western 1/3 of the state. The drought hit the birds real hard this year.

Bird numbers are down everywhere including parts of SoDak. Just means a little harder hunting and a little more walking. It's better than being at work!

I finally made my reservations. I will be looking for someone who wants to hunt with me and my dogs. I will be traveling up to 2 hours each way every day so gas will get expensive, but we did get the most birds last year.

We're still trying to decide if you were just buying pen raised pheasant somewhere and killing them before you got back! LOL! I'd go with Gary, but since my dog isn't really polished, I wouldn't want to mess up his hunting! Otherwise I'd be there with ya G! When I hunt with a guy with a bad dog, I just tell them to get the far side of the field. I don't care about polished dogs. I brought Deuce last year. He was just 3 months out of jail. He hunted for me half of the time and hunted for the other guys the other half.

What is the hunting pressure like that weekend last year. Those who stayed during the week does it drop off considerably
