I know prices change all the time and different shops/suppliers have sales and such. BUT...wanted to see who has purchased some bulk .223 (minimum 1000 rounds) in the last couple of weeks and for an approx price...and where you got it...

when Cabela's have it on sale (Herter's) it is a very good deal. Plus "free" ammo can.
If you are not afraid to choot russian made ammo, very good deal. And cheaper or equal to gunshows.
Personally - never had problems with Herters. Always goes bang, always hits target. Maybe not the "Match" ammo, but who cares, we are talking about Bulk ammo. No dirtier than surplus or Remington or Winchester.
