Hard to explain exact location, but would see some on a smalll highline I hunted right outside of Beulah between Diboll & Zavalla. More recently it's been in the fields between Chireno & the Attoyac river and in some scrapes on our place in Melrose on the edge of our hay field. Usually see those when the cooler weather hits or we're getting out of it in the Spring and the grass isn't very high.

Why do people go to a hunting forum and judge others for shooting an animal "they" believe should not be killed. Friggin log off and go to a pro snake forum.

Seriously...quit killing snakes "just cuz"...there are only 3 snakes in these United states that are going to bite and invenomate you IF they dont try to get away from you first. Rattlers..well all know what they look like because they have rattles..hard to miss...Copperheads...no other snake even close to that color...and cotton mouth/water moccassin....bright white inside of mouth and usually in very close proximity to water.....yeah yeah yeah Coral Snakes...but if you actually encounter one I'll buy you dinner. There is NO reason to lop off the head or shoot any other snake. OK, you owe me dinner. And yes, I know red touching black, friend of jack. Red touching yellow, kill a fellow. It was definitely a coral snake.

Judging by the proximity of the foot & lack of head, I'd have to say scissor kick

No biggie on the snake deal. Love snakes, think they are cool and awesome and all that jazz. But when one shows up at my house, venomous or not. They need to leave. either by shovel or shotgun. they leave. Wont sacrifice my wifes sanity and the the chickens eggs and my 1 year old 3 year old running around outside.if im walking through the woods and happen across one. it gets to live. if im on the road it gets to live. Just my 2 cents... thought we used to have a @cent thing you could put up here but i guess not.

What wording would you have used?
So if I stay the same you'll leave again?
The beagle is for sale, if you're interested. He's a drug sniffing dog.

BULL SNAKE.... makes me sad that some people, just have to kill snakes, just because they're snakes. True, I'll kill a rattler, copperhead or cottonmouth in a split second but the others I let go on their way.

I don't kill snakes of any kind unless they're venomous AND in a place that I or my family will frequent...ie...my yard, outside my camper, under a deer blind, etc.... I don't have anything against killing them, I just choose not to. I will, however, screw with every snake I encounter....gonna cost me some day.

I understand killing rattlers in a close proximity to your house, camp etc... But killing all snakes is inviting the bad few to join you. Most "COMMON" snakes eat the exact things Rattle bugs come into "your" space to eat. Coach-whips and King snakes specialize in eating Rattlers.

Payne I appreciate the offer but I keep my crack and heroin in a safe place so I won't lose it so I won't be needing a drug sniffing dog. But if I do ever lose my drugs then I might rent him from you if you still have em.
