 Opening Day of Dove with Snakes

Had a good opening day for Dove season. Got 17 dove between 2 people and a few snakes. I was walking around with my eye in the sky (watching for birds) then I stumbled across this 4.5ft rattler. He was stretched out on some flat ground (getting sun I guess) and I never even knew he was there. Luckily he wasn’t coiled up to strike me or I would have gotten it bad. I must have startled him because he just went crazy and tried to get away from me. Never coiled, never rattled (not that I would have heard since I was wearing ear plugs). Needless to say, snake boots are now on my Birthday, Christmas list. The other snake (don't know what kind), we found on the road. I have hunted here for 10 plus years and have never seen this many snakes. Granted its only 2, I have only seen 1 other rattler in the 10 years hunting.

They both look like rattle snakes in the pic Pretty sure the top one isnt a rattler

Top one is a bull snake. Make him mad and he will act like a rattler.
