i was down at our house in Portland a few weeks back and found a puppy someone had dumped at our house. He was hiding under a bush and had just about starved to death. He was skin and bones and very week. I asked around the neighborhood and found out he had been hanging around for weeks. I got him home and his name is now Flynn. I have plans on making a hog hunter out of him. I believe he is a white boxer but what do ya'll think? He's going to the vet next week so I will find out then for sure.

thanks guys, he is really good with the kids. I was reading about them and found out that white boxers are not good in the breeder community. Health issues, and they cannot be shown in akc events. Guess they got him just old enough and kicked him out the door. Oh well, we love him.

Found a stray the other day hanging around a dried up creek bridge where I run by the house. Took a walk with the wife, pup was thin and thirsty, followed us for a mile and a half... wife said I couldnt bring it home and feed it, was kinda bummed. Im by far not a bleeding heart, but I HATE when people dump off domesticated animals that dont know how to care for themselves and will starve to death or die of dehydration.. zero respect for that.

Is he deaf? Alot of times the white boxers are deaf. I had a white boxer with a brown patch around his eye. He was not deaf but the other white one in the litter was.

ive got a six year old boxer, brewser, he's my best bud. treat him right (which i know you're already on the right path) and he will be by your side through everything. one of the best breed's in my oppinion. i went through a cancer bout a few years back, and when i was laid up in bed all sick and crap, he never left my side....freakin awesome! good luck with flynn!

I read about the hearing issues, from what I gather the deafness shows up within the first five weeks due to a part of the inner ear not growing because of lack of pigmant. As of now he can here me. A bit hard headed but he will come when called. Very smart dog. SuperMex, that is a great story! I have a disabled daughter and Flynn absolutely loves her. He will play rough with me and walk right over to her and lick her very gently. He gets it.

I hate animals being dumped or abused. I would have a hard time not caring for one that had been abandoned. Your a good guy with a good heart!
