I'm wanting to try some of the apple scented corn out but don't want to go out of my way for it. Anyone know where you can find some around north Texas/denton county? Thanks!

Make your own with apple juice and a spray bottle to lightly mist it on your corn as your put it in a bucket. Stir it up and let it set to dry. All that they do is put a metered amount of apple concentrate of scent on corn as it runs down the bagging line. It is not put on the whole 50# either just a small portion since it is a concentrate.

I never understood the apple scent thing. Deer in this part of the world have no idea of an apple.

Corn is not raised in lots of areas either but they seem to know what it is. There are apples raised in Medina, Texas.

I never understood the apple scent thing. Deer in this part of the world have no idea of an apple. My dad has always said that too but when I've been lucky enough to find apple scented corn and use it or added an apple scented attractant (like Feeder Fire) to my regular corn I seem to get more deer coming into my feeder more frequently. Wish they made a sweet potato flavored corn or attractant. Hhhhmmmm

Same stuff but we run out of doe permits quick so doe become illegal and the "older", smarter bucks that we are forced to take now seem to know to feed mostly at night.....I haven't been able to find a darn spike in quite awhile to shoot to save my life. My best chance at a daytime legal buck anymore is during the rut anyway. You know, when they are trying to make babies.
