This seed was imported from another property. That fact alone is what has me worried.

You are perfectly legal to hunt over your shreaded sunflowers, milo etc no matter when you cut it. Just dont pour out a bag of corn (feed of any kind) and shoot birds coming to it.

This is abdolutely correct for dove. Not for ducks though. Only way u can Shread for ducks is if it's second yr regrowth or if it's norm Ag practices- example- you are a farmer and you Shread your all your milo fields after harvest, not just the one you hunt. I know I will get roasted for this but I have found that a large percentage of wardens really don't know the baiting laws. You really should consult the written rules on the fish and wildlife web page. I keep a set in my truck just in case. Both for baiting and water access rules. In most of texas if it ain't a deer, it don't matter. I've seen a couple times where people were over their limit on a species of waterfowl, warden checked, and no ticket written cause the warden didn't know the difference between a hen redhead and ring neck. I joke and say our new warden a few yrs back truly couldn't tell you the difference between a green head and a redhead without his book. I sure I
