I just got my son a .22 mag & was curious as to what are some of the hottest rounds for the .22 mag in todays market? He will be using it while coyote calling with me, so 75 -100 will be the max. Thanks.

Remington Accutip v - 33grain.
CCI Mag tnt - 30grain.
CCI Gamepoint - 40grain.
CCI Vmax 30grain.
All the above shoot very well out of my .22wmr.
I stopped buying the HP when I saw how much better they shoot and hit.

I use the Black Box of Winchester and have chron' them at a little over 2000 fps..the others I checked were arount 17-1800fps. The Winchester in my Ruger 10/22 Mag is by far the most
accurate..DD

Killed many a skunk and coon with hornady ballistic tip V-Max. +1 on the Hornady, or as late of the Winchester Varmit 30gr, poly tipped vmax, muzzle = 2250, @100 still moving @1490 with 335+ lbs at the muzzle. Out of my Marlin 3 shot groups stay real close to the size of quarter.

Miguel, I have a 22 Mag Ruger 10-22 and my buddy in Tarpley has
about 3 or 4 bolt actions..we chrono'd all of them with several
types of ammo..The Winchester Supreme was just over 2000 FPS in
each of them..it was a little hotter in my Ruger than his older
bolt guns that had longer bbls..The CCI and some of the others were in the 1700 plus FPS range..Don
