I got an invite for opening weekend in Graham, are there generally a lot of dove in that area? They planted some fields and the property's as water. Just wondering if the area is generally good for dove. Thanks for any help!

I went out about 5-6 years ago. We saw more rattlesnakes than dove. It was, however, the weekend AFTER opening weekend, and the lease had been hunted VERY aggressivly. I was a three day trip, and we left after two.

Young County is usually a pretty good hotspot most yrs. Dove are looking plentiful this yr as well. Olney, Newcastle and Graham are all looking pretty good.

Thanks for both reports. I don't know much about the area but I'm looking forward to it.

Sometimes good, sometimes bad. Depends on the year.

You are right. It is awesome every year. Never been a slow year. You can limit everyday there.

All kidding aside. This year looks to be great though if on a good property and some crazy front doesn't blow them out.

Just got the info for the hunt on Saturday, turns out its with Puddins Dove! I'm in the Murray field and I've heard nothing but great things about this operation.
Can't wait!
