I hunt Kent County East of Clairmont. Deer look really good. I don't know how due to the dry weather for the past two years, but they are actually looking well. We have seen several nice bucks, and they all look to be fairly healthy.

My dad has a single pature leased on the Mesquite Grove Ranch on the southern part of the ranch along the river. I hunt a small place on down the county road about 6 or so miles. Deer are looking pretty good this year from what I have seen. I just hope they don't bust their racks up early like they did last season. But, with the dry conditions, I expect them to be fragile again.

We battle them constantly. The extra 50 acre block we picked up last year started off with no hogs and by the end of the season we were setting traps trying to catch them. Would come in and own every one of our feeders. My dad killed the first hog ever taken off of the Mesquite Grove Ranch back in the mid 90s and I killed the second the same year. Now they are everywhere.

the deer are looking good this year. the hogs are running in larger groups than i have ever seen. the new watering system that i installed has turned into a critter magnet. i built a pig-pipe and it is empty every time i check it. there are an average amount of dove but not as many as a couple of years ago. turkey are plentiful and even saw a few covies of quail. i've never seen a mulie on this place but ive heard they are in the area. i did see a javalina that nobody on the lease has heard of. i hope he's not a scout.

Funny you say javalina. On our place just to the east of there i had a group i could not keep out of my traps. I spoke to the game warden and he said there were none in the area and i must be catching small pigs. Then i proved it to him with a pic. He had never seen them or heard of them around. Guess they are moving in then....
