I go dove hunting once every couple of years. Used a cheap Winchester pump up until a couple of years ago, I forget which model. I've used a buddy's Beretta Urika the last few years. So I got pretty spoiled. I don't want to spend that kind money, but I'd like to get a decent semi-auto. Let's say my budget is $400, give or take. Can I find a decent gun for that? I don't mind buying used at all. What would you guys recommend I look for? Thanks for any help!

Got an Escort PS for a friend a few years ago and he still loves it, Very much like the Beretta in feel and function.

If you liked the Beretta 391 Urika, you'd be just as happy with a new 3901 American, or pick up a used 390. They're great guns, and you should be able to pick one or the other up for a few hundred bucks more. Believe me, you're getting way more gun for the money than any other option in that price range.

Not sure if it fits the price range, but a friend of mine bought a STOEGER a couple of years go. Said it was the best handling and shooting shotgun he has ever had.

Thanks for the replies! I'm going to check out some LGS's and pawn shops over the next couple of days to see what I can find.
