I"m headed out Saturday morning to scope around a little. I'm sure it will all boil down to water and if you have anything in your fields they like to eat.

Me, my Dad and Son loaded up saturday morning to head to the farm. We got 10 miles out, and got into a HUGE rain. I was driving 20 mph and couldn't see a thing. We parked at a little historical marker off of the road to see if the rain would let up. It didn't, so we turned around and came home. I'm not gonna tell it to stop raining. I'm gonna swing out there later this week. Sorry for the "no-report." Love the rain, though.

I hunt just west of Novice. We ran into the rain just northwest of our property, but the radar had green/yellow all over it for a while.

We were out there this weekend. A couple miles southwest of Valera.

Rained Friday and Saturday, but it all soaked right in, our tanks didn't come up at all.

Lots of birds, but not really concentrated. We have no crops on our place, just water.

Thanks for the info guys. Hope you have a good one this year.
Don't forge the fish fry at Coleman on Saturday lunch. If you havent been its well worth the drive and 10 bucks.

I know this will change at least a couple times, but the extended forecast is highs in the upper 80s and lows in mid 60s for opening weekend. although the temps will be nice, what will this front do to the birds?
