I am an avid bow hunter that has lost my deer lease, because the owner of the lease passed away. I have been looking and looking for a deer lease within a 2 hour drive of Dallas ftworth area. I am willing to pay good money and have at least 2 family members that are wanting to get on a good lease with me. Does anyone know of anything. I have looked and looked! PLEASE HELP

Check out the Land and Leases section here and post this ad there, it may help. Good luck and sorry to hear about your situation.

Yeah, same here. Kind of late in the year for 2012/13 lease to happen. I will be looking at some package hunts this season. I have never done these before but I believe I can salvage a season with them. And ya know it's also amazing that all the guest I have taken hunting over the years, not one has never recipricated. Never even dawned on me until this month oh well.

All but 1 lease I've had the contract dates were Aug 31 or Sept 1 through the same date the following year.
In other words all but one lease the first day I could step foot on the property without the owner was Aug 31 or Sept 1, could be the same for other folks.

If I wanted a lease for this year I dang sure wouldn't give up looking until opening day of rifle season.
(even if I bow hunted)
IMO it isn't too late to find one for this year. .

There are a bunch of open spots / leases in the Lands & Leases section and many of the Chamber of commerce web sites still show leases available.

I think we have 4 spots left in Cisco. Really nice set up and family oriented. Shoot me a PM if you are still interested and we will set up a time to show you the place.

There was a spot on the lease that I got on. It was $2310 per year plus you have to feed with your own feeders. I bought a corn feeder and protein. And just recently got a trailer. So, the costs add up and joining is not about being 1st. I'm not the guy, but if you are interested I will put you in contact.

have one opening on year round lease in Robert Lee. A total of five hunters will be on 1 sq mile of low fence land. Deer, hogs, quail, dove, predator, some exotics. Nice camp area with electric. Other four hunters from DFW area so car pool an option. $1200 for year round. Family/kid friendly
