Like alot of guys said. Carry what you are able and comfortable shooting. Also, what you can shoot well. It is a personal choice.
Personally for me its generally a G19 or a Colt Commander, extra mags, Surefire G2 flashlight & a pocket knife.

my KelTec 380 goes with me everywhere simply because i can hide it easier. It is either on my vest, or in my back pocket all the time. Other times i've carried a NAA 22 Mag, or various J Frames, or the XD45 i carry on duty. Just depends on what i can hide about my person.

Ruger lcp or a glock 26. Lcp mostly though it is the lightest and slimmest gun I have ever owned. I carry it appendix most of the time and forget its there. Also really want a Kimber solo ..
