I am looking to go hog hunting for meat. I live north of D/FW. and am open to what ever for hog hunting. I am not looking for all the bells and whistles I am just looking for a place to shoot a hog. What does it cost to shoot a hog, since I am kind of on a budget.
Thanks, Brian

Ballpark you should pay $300 or less depending on lodging etc. There are several people on here that offer hunts look around in the outfitters and guides section. Good luck

Rookie,
Check out COYOTE CREEK RANCH. I was there last March (07) & harvested 3 nice eatin size hogs. It is just EAST of Paris, TX in Detroit, TX. Donnie Hays runs a good program. His email is coyotecreekranch06@yahoo.com If you email- tell him "Mike from Missouri" sent you his way.
Good Luck

Check out 4-D Outfitters
They are in the Mexia Grosebeck area. I just got back from there on Friday. Tons of hogs and they will put you right up close with them. I think a meat hog runs about $250.

These guys treat you better than family, when you leave you will feel like you have known them for 20yrs. Good people.

if you want meat, just go to Jermyn and pick yourself out one from the guy there. they sell wild pigs cheap - you have to take them away dead and gut them yourself...

The state of texas sales hog hunts really cheap... 52.00 for a type two permit AKA Public hunting permit. I would try OLD sabine river bottoms WMA. Richland Creek WMA has a lot of hogs too... Oh yea Gus Engeling WMA.
