POPS Barbeque in College Station In 1990-1995, I would press out one the size of a serving tray, loaf of Texas toast and coat it in gravy! Feed the dang football team in only 17 hours of work!

Mary's has been a long time favorite after an opening day dove hunt, go over there to beat the heat and enjoy a cold beer. Chicken fried steak and fried eggs is hard to beat.
Next is Blue Bonnent Cafe in Marble Falls.

Thanks to this strand, the wife, daughter and I had to stop in Mary's as we passed through a couple weeks ago. Our travel schedules will now revolve around having the CFS at Mary's...sometimes maybe even on the way TO San Angelo AND back home. Best ever!

Maggie,
Where is the Corral located? I go through Coleman to get to my place at OH Ivie. I'd like to stop in sometime and check out one of those Chicken Fried Steaks. Thanks...and good hunting this year. Daryl

You have not had chicken fried steak until you have been to Goodson's Cafe in Tomball, TX. Out of this world. Featured on the the Food Network and many magazines.

If you happen to be stuck in Big D without time to drive to Marys for a quick lunch, you could do A LOT worse than Ozona Grill on Greenville Ave. As a matter of fact, you'd have to look pretty hard to do as good. It's a good choice for weekend breakfast too. PK
