Was at the lease last weekend and one of our rubbermaid storage containers were housing a community of Black Widows. Took out the trusty wasp spray and....nada just pissed them off more.
Turned it over and went to stepin on em. Felt like John Goodman from Arachnophobia (sp)

YEP...........KILL IT!! I was bitten by a Brown Recluse some years back on the underside of my Forearm. Before it was over, a CHUNK came out of my arm the size of a NICKEL. And I was actually lucky, most of the time they get alot worse.

Barking spider...can smell em from quite a distance...

He couldn't have been that dangerous, he was crawling around on my hand and arm for a while before I let him go live out his life.  Yep

The only spider that I don't kill on sight is a grandaddy longlegs, all others die.

One of the guys that worked for me in the Army was bitten by a brown recluse behind his knee at Fort Hood. He lost a baseball sized chunk of flesh from behind his knee and was on permanent profile and in a brace. I imagine that eventually he was medically discharged. It was really tough on him.

My wife got bit on the back from one when she put on a shirt. She didn't enjoy it at all. For what it's worth, she mixed up some sort of activated charcoal paste after going to the ER and taped it to the bite and swears it helped.

Those are bad, bad, bad. Grandma got bit by a Brown Recluse about 10 years ago. Took a chunk out of her calf that was 1 inch deep and 3 inches wide.
