A while back someone posted asking about Michael Waddell and his association with RealTree......

I sent Michael an email asking about it especially since I hadn't seen his show anymore on outdoor channel....
Well I didn't really think I would get a reply until today...

hey man,

Road Trips season is from July - Dec. Doesn't come on Jan-June. That's when I have to work! haha

I left Realtree about a hear and a half ago to go out on my own. RTRT will be on at least 4 more years. I'm still with realtree, I guess you'd say. I'm just not an employee anymore. I work for myself and sub out to Bill.

About Tiffany...depends who you ask man. haha

Ok seriously.....what happened to your show on the Outdoor channel.....that was the greatest show next to Gettin Close....Sorry dude, Tiffany is better to look at.....

Anyway......a bunch of us guys on the Texas Hunting Forum were wondering what happened to the show.....One rumor said you got fired from Real Tree......since your doing the Gander Mountain Show........

Give us the scoop.......and let us know if we are going to get to see Road Trips again.......

Thanks...

Thats awsome.

That's what you call a down to earth guy who hasn't gotten too big for his britches.

I like Mike but he is truly a "Self made Movie Star" not as serious about hunting as he is about entertaining! No offense just my opinion!

I agree! I would pick up bottle caps off the side of the freeway if it paid the bills! But I would rather have Waddell' s job.... It would be a lot more fun!!!

Realtree, specifically David Blanton has hunted with me for the last three years and I have met most of them and I can tell you for a fact the all of the Realtree guys are down to earth great guys that are not full of themselves.

From what I know, Micheal has a 5 year contract with Realtree to do RoadTrips and is no longer employeed by Realtree, but by Gander Mountain. I think he got a good raise and that might have been his motivation for leaving. The last I heard, his wife Ashley still works for Realtree.

You are correct. I do some work with Realtree and everybody in that organization is top shelf. From Bill and David on down through the hierarchy, you can't ask for a better group of people.

we need to get together and do a dogs on hogs video with all them guys. I think that would be like a bloopers segement for them. LOL I could only imagine which one would get in there and do the flip and which one would stick it.Kinda like bill with the armadillo. I have been a fan of micheal for sometime and like the fact that his show, showed what went on between hunts and at camp. It reminds me of what hunting was all about.!!
