I'm thinking about getting some drake waders. Does anybody have any? Did they hold up? I really like the way they look I just need to make sure they can take a little bit of a beating.

Reviews have been mixed for their price

Macks or cabelas

Cabelas has best warranty

They're ok as long as you're not tall. They don't have Tall sizes.

Don't do it.

I bought a pair of the LSTs 2 seasons ago. When I got them ready for last year the boots were dry rotted and the stitching was coming undone everywhere. They warrentied them but just barely.(Cabelas-one year warrenty) The pair I got was leaking by the end of the season.

I am not hard on wadders. They ride in my truck to and from hunting and I don't leave them outside.

Drakes are a piece of junk.

I've had 2 pairs of Cabela's...one of which I bought like 5 years ago. They have had a couple of leg leaks after 3 years of use but I've been able to patch and aqua seal them back into service. I'm thinking I'll get a year or two more out of them. They were worth the price but as far as waders go they were probably around average cost.

Cabelas are the best.

Drake sucks, IMO. I feel like their stuff just falls apart.

I had a brand new pair last season and they are JUNK. Called them and they said they would replace them. All they had to do was charge my card again for 350$ and then they would reinburst me. Waders are still in the boat. I did not like there customer service either

I got a pair when they first came out I guess about 4 or 5 seasons ago...I got the MST and they work great. I have heard that the older ones were better made and the new one's quality has gone down. But I love mine

Drake brand stuff has always been good IMO but I would not pay for the waders....add the fact all these bad reviews. I have some wader jackets and wader pants that are awesome!

X2

except I go about every 3 years. I've learned when I'm hunting 40+ days a season, and the way I hunt. I probably won't find a pair that will last.

Yup. I'm going into year 3 with my Columbia waders and I'm on the fence about whether or not they'll make it. I'm satisfied that they made it this far. I got em after the season for 45% of MSRP so I can't complain at all.

Don't buy the Drake waders. They are cool and comfortable but like the others have said all waders will not last if you hunt consistently throughout season. No need to spend more than you have to.

OMG, this is the best slumber party ever!

I would go with Mack's or Cabela's as well. I bought a pair of Drake MST a couple years ago and they didn't last through one season. Seams came unstitched and the neoprene split around the knees.
