I aquired another older to play with and just want to know if there's anything peculiar I should know about this bow. It's a Hoyt Raptor in overall great condition, older but shoots great. I checked it over and didn't see anything that concerned me, like cracking ect. It's a 29" draw length set at about 65# weight. I believe it's adjustable to 70. How are the limbs on these older bows, as far as durability? I do know the bow was well cared for. Any, I like it and I can shoot it well, and it was affordable.

No opinions? Good or bad? Well, I like the bow, and it shoots well, so it'll do until I have the $800 for a Katera!

If the bow was well takeing care of then wouldnt have any problems useing it! I would take it in too the bow shop and have them look over it probably needs new strings maybe a cable! That is a good bow so I hope you enjoy shooting it

It has a new string and cable, and yes, it's fun to shoot. Thanks.

The best bow I ever had (until possibly the one I just bought) was a Hoyt Rapter with Redline cams. That thing was shooting 410gr arrows at 284 fps when I bought it in 1998. That bow was so forgiving. I could honestly outshot anyone I shot against with it. I felt comfortable with a shot on a deer up to 50 yards and elk up to 60 (but I never shot anything over 40 yards). Damn, she was pretty. Those nice curves, that big wheel. I got mine the same time I got my wife, so I don't know which is my true first love.
