Besides feeder pen how can you keep cows from messing with your feeders. Dont want to do a lot of work cause landowner does not leave them on all the time. Plus I dont have resources and energy to build feeder pen.

I guess dont turn them on. About the only option besides a good fence when you are dealing with cattle.

Find a biiiig tree and hang it from the branch. Without a feeder pen of any kind, you'll be out of luck IMO.

But without a pen the cattle will visit your feeder as a known food source. Possibly causing fewer deer to be seen. I would assume if the corn is there on the ground available for them then they will hang out and eat the free golden nuggets.

No cows won't hang around to eat corn one at a time. Have hung feeders several times and cows never bother them. Now coons will tare them up.

If the place has too many cows and they're hungry, they'll still eat the scattered corn. I've watched cows lick up every kernal of hand-thrown/scattered corn I've put out. Started using a slingshot to pop them in the butt while in the stand to get them to leave. But as soon as I leave, they come back.

I have a winch up feeder and I just added a few feet onto the legs of it so the feeder/timer was higher. Never had a problem with the cows messing with it after that.
