i dont know if its the drop away rests or these new bows but i havent tuned or paper tuned squat in over 10 years, and my last 3 bows shot whatever i put through exactly the same, field points, mech heads, or any kind of fixed blade, only difference is heavier arrows hit a bit lower but thats expected.

IMHO, I make sure my bow is tuned...I want it shooting as correctly as possible and it gives me piece of mind when I shoot an animals that I know for sure my bow is in the best shooting condition that I can put it in. I just believe in giving 110% attention to detail to my equipment.
Bow hunting is pure

Penatration is the reason for tuning your bow.
 Guns dont kill people.....bullets do.

Many shops can and will properly square up and set a bow for you. Most times then it may be only a matter of fine tuning or good enough for most folks. Sometimes though, like my last bow purchase and when I had my QAD put on my LX the "pro" shops that set them up didn't do a swell job.

Hey bjankowski, can you take me though walk back tuning. I have heard of it mentioned several times on the green screen, but no description of how it is done. Chuck check out this site; better than I can explain it. The only thing I do different is I use one inch masking tape, instead of a string, and that's cause I'm lazy.. lol http://lakeviewarchery.org/walk_back_tuning.htm What about doing the same thing in reverse Bobbert? I have shot my 20 pin then used same hold and used 30 yd pin then went to 30 yards and shot my 40 yd pin and wouldn't that show same effect as walk back?
Brayden (Lazy L's Southern Comfort) you will be missed! You were more than a pet you were my reason to rise and return for many days! You were my rock! 12/26/03-10/25/13

If I send my neighbors a text and ask them to give me feedback on my lawn and plant rye into a giant dong pattern, I'm probably going to get some less than positive feedback. Same goes here.
