they make good attack dogs,so i know they are capable of striking. i got attacked by my father n laws and was about 100 ft. from getting to safety. the damn thing just lost his mind. when it was all said and done he had ripped my pant leg off, tore my boot, punctured my leg,and the mamma dog had bit me on the arse.if finally got a hold of his collar and twisted and lifted him up and donkey punched him,but he did not stop.the momma dog backed off when i hit her.but jr. was not showing any signs of stopping, i threw him off the deck and went inside to borrow a gun. but that caused an argument between me and the inlaw so it took 2 more times and finally he was put down. but yes since i way 240 pounds and he was 80 pounds, they do have the agility and power to work a hog just as well as any cur dog i've ever been around.i've just never used one so real work experience i couldn't say yes for sure.

They might be pretty good, not sure if they have the jaw strength to lock down & hold on for catch dogs.
Still might make good baying/running/locator dogs.

i don't know if there jaw strength is as powerful as a pit, but for anything else no problem,i've seen an old boy run hogs with dogs that looked like snouzers(spelling not sure on)and to my disbelief could locate a hog real quick, problem was they liked to turn the hog your direction.
