Do any of you hunt with a single-set trigger such as this one sold at Brownells? http://www.brownells.com/.aspx...t/SINGLE-SET-TRIGGERI really like the idea of having a trigger with the option to "set" for a super light pull (6 oz), or to simply pull it backward like a normal trigger (2-4 lbs) if I need to make a quick shot. I've never used a set trigger before, and would appreciate any advice you guys might be able to offer. Thanks.

My CZ 550 9.3x62 came from the factory with an adjustable single set trigger. I've not felt the need to change the factory settings...but could prolly could tighten up the tiny bit of creep though.
I hunt with the normal trigger setting at about 3- 3 1/2lbs and the set is at about half that at approx 16-18 oz's and used only for bench work, since the maxmax loaded 250 gr & 270 gr'ers have a little pepper to them even in a 9 1/2lb all up gun that gets thru the Decelerator.
Using the set helps with preventing my flinch reflex from taking hold when running a 20 round load ladder & minimum cooling times which is about my shoulders max off the bench in one string...and 50-60 rd's of 9.3's at one session like my last outting and I am done for the 6-7 hour range session day, along with the other 100-150+ rd's of stuff I usually shoot during the same day long session in a T3 HG 6.5 Swede & now a M85 HG 260 SAKO, a 270 (in a 7lb all up T3Lite) & a 9lb all up M70 300Mg - now a 8 1/4lb M70 300WSM Fwt. IMO I cannot imagine the need in a hunting rifle for a 6oz let off even on the set unless you are punching paper at way past 1-2-300 yards with a lot more glass than my 3x9's & 4x12's. Cheers Ron

It shouldn't be an issue, because you shouldn't set it (or have the safety off) until you are ready to shoot the animal.

I have one on my muzzleloader, a T/C Hawken. It certainly does take a little getting used to, but I like having the option for an ultra precise shot.

Have the factory one on the CZ527 and really like it. Have only used the set option once in the field and that was for a shot on a turkey's neck, DRT so guess it worked fine. Most of the time I jsut use the standard trigger except some shooting for groups or when working up loads for it
