If it's that crap with the aluminum hull I wouldn' shoot it if they paid ME $39 to take them. Every shot seems to cause the metal to expand and they wind up getting jammed.
Sorry for the interjection. Carry on.

Those WINCHESTER TEXAS DOVE LOADS are a Walmart only item they are made extra cheap just to be sold at walmart; or at least they were last time I checked.
I have taken those shells and cut them apart and shown people they are loaded with a piece of card board as the wadd.
My personal Dove fav. is the Rio 1&1/8 of 7.5 shot; you can buy them cheap. My local gunstore back home in Sherman used to sell them at cost as a draw for people to come in the store.

RIO is good stuff, back when I used to shoot competition sporting clays, I used alot of it. Nice to reload their hulls too.
Anyone know where they sell it around Tyler?

Carters Country in Houston sells Estate shells for right at $50 a case. Thats the only lead I will shoot. .. those cheap Winchester shells are way to inconsistent.

Usually the stuff at WalMart is 1oz or less. There is a reason it's cheaper.
I didn't learn this by seeing it on TV, I learned it by doing it.

I'm surprised anyone would pay extra for ammo for dove hunting. All I've ever shot is the Academy cases for $39 and I can kill the crap out of them with my 870.

In the old days a case was classified as having 20 boxes, not anymore.
