Thought you guys might enjoy some of the photos from my vacation to Thailand and Cambodia. I will post pictures city by city as I sort through them. This photo is from an overlook of Chiang Mai. My wife and I rode up on the hill on a scooter and took these photos on our way to a temple. Chiang Mai sits in a valley between some mountains. It is a very tropical environment and a beautiful city.  Here is a photo from the city looking back at the mountain.  One day we went out to a lake and had lunch on a little floating hut. We ate fish, frog legs, green mango salad and cold beer. Here is the a photo of the huts.  We went to a few markets as well. We took a ton of photos, but I thought the THF would be most interested in the dried fish:  One day we went about an hour north of town to an elephant refuge. Through funding by donations (and price of our admission) they buy and take care of abused elephants. Some of them had severe disfigurements. Here are some of the photos we took:

Here is a photo of me washing off the elephants.  This is my favorite photo of the elephant trip. This is the lady that started up and runs the place. She is incredibly passionate and it shows.

Nice photos. We used to help some of the Vietnamese villagers fish, we threw the grenades and the boys in the village would dive in and collect the floaters. Then they would "clean" and dry them on a rack.
