Hello,
I am looking for a Gunsmith or place I can go to get the little springs that are used in Triggers. I could probably do this job myself, but wouldn't mind having to pay a little to have someone with the knowledge install it.
I have detailed instructions on How to remove and install the spring, but I have no idea what size spring I am going to need to lighten the trigger some.
I am hoping I can find someone that has a little experience and a bin of different sized trigger springs.
Thank you for your help.

The x bolt trigger is adjustable, are you wanting to go lower than the trigger will let you?

The x bolt trigger is adjustable, are you wanting to go lower than the trigger will let you? I am wanting to go lower, I lowered it all the way and it is still around 5 lbs. Ernie the Gunsmith used to sell them but sent me an email saying "We have discontinued the sale of this spring, and have removed them from our web site. here is a short description of why: When the task of installing a new spring in a Browning X-Bolt trigger is accomplished with care and attention to detail, it is not a difficult job. However, when a person with little experience in this type of work, does not pay due attention to detail, problems can arise. This is not my fault, nor is it the fault of the spring. However, after more than a year of answering questions about how to take the trigger apart and how to put it back together, I just decided that both my customers and myself would have fewer problems if I simply stopped selling it. Regards, Ernie " So I know it is possible to lower the trigger weight by swapping the spring out. I can remove the spring, just need somewhere to go to get the same size spring, but lower tension or whatever.

Timney makes a spring kit for an A-bolt trigger, but it doesn't say anything about fitting the X-bolt.
You might call Timney & ask them: 602-274-2999

I think Timney does make one for the X-bolt. I definetely wouldn't pay a gunsmith to take a spring out and put another in. I did it on an A-bolt in a couple minutes.

I guess a springs from Ernie for the X-bolt might be worth something more than the $7 I paid for them?
