Does anyone know of any homes or apartments for rent? I have myself and 2 other guys that have moved into the Odessa area to work and have found the housing situation to be miserable. We are looking for a 1-2 bedroom house or apartment in the 12-1500 dollar range. ANY information would be helpful..

Just do like the rest of us out here, grab you a travel trailer. You get used to it after a while. lol The housing situation here is terrible. Listening the news, it doesnt sound like its going to ease up any either. The were saying that they are going to break ground on an apartment complex here in Monahans soon, z(as in - havent even started building it yet) and that all the apartments are already leased.

I don't know how much time you have to wait, but if the WTI continues to fall past the $65 range, you'll start to see lots of these service companies moving on and laying off. Housing will be far more available. I moved to Midland the day of the highest recorded price for a bbl of oil. I started selling mud as it fell, and was fortunate to make it.

To answer your question, call as many of the apartments as you can and get your name on the list.

Good luck-
