fixin' to go to BPS, was gonna pick up some broadheads on the way.
i'm gonna be targeting hogs/ maybe an axis deer but mostly pigs.
i've always heard from those in the know that a mechanical like a rage is less than ideal for a pig. I've seen what they do to a deer and the results are amazing. everyone suggests using a cut on contact point.
which brands would you recommend? not looking to spend a ton on broadheads, just want something that will get the job done

I'm going this week to buy grim reapers... Right now I shoot rage which is what my dad uses and he loves him so he let me have some for free..

Yet another question:
My bow is paper tuned and drives tacks with field points and a rage
Will I need to resight if I put on a fixed head? Will different designs affect accuracy?

I don't have a problem going from any of my field points to any of the three BHs I shoot. Don't have to move pin or adjust anything.

You may have to adjust the rest to get your fixed blades to group with your field points. Field points tend to hide issues with your bow setup same goes with mechanicals. If they dont fly the same just broadhead tune your bow.

If it is paper tuned well you should have no issues.

I've been shooting the 3 blade muzzy BH for years. I've never had a problem with them (ie broken tips or blades), I've even seen one go completely through a ball and socket shoulder joint on a ram. As long as you line up the blades with your fletchings you shouldn't have a problem with your POI changing.

I hunt deer with a Muzzy MX4. Just bought some Montec (cut on contact) for hogs. I noticed this weekend at BPS that Muzzy has a cut on contact broad head now.
As an FYI..... I don't know if you guys know it but Feradyne (parent company of Rage Outdoors) just acquired Muzzy from the Musacchia family.
Clearly God condones shooting stuff in the face or He wouldn't have created that...

I have 3 of the 125gr if I remember correctly I paid around $90 shipped for the 3 I have. They are by far the best bradheads ive ever used, just a little expensive if you loose one.

Think I'm trying these this year. "Solid broadheads"

How about a report on the silver flames after you shoot em. I've heard stories of multiple animals with out resharpening, doesn't sound possible but I guess could be. I can't imagine resharpening with anything other than a laser would get them backup to factory but would like to hear how they do.

You got a deal.. I order some 210 gr for a buddy, he's shoots a Bob Lee and can't wait to see how they do. Either way, I'll post a review after I send a few down range.
