I was thinking about grabbing a plot watcher game camera either a moultrie or a day 6. I was just curious if they are helpful and any good or bad experiences yall have had with them. Thank you

I have the plotwatcher and love it, although the old model is hard on batteries it is still one of my best investments. The new version is reportedly a gread deal better battery life . I would recommend one. Some of the pics from last years Goalpost buck I harvested were taken on the PL.

I really like mine. The plot watcher feature is pretty useful but defintly wouldnt use it all the time. Sucks down battery fast and you get a week or two on the card on the plotwatcher setting and it takes a long whilee to watch it all even with the search feature. But, its great for using to establish which way things are coming from and see everything. Set to the regular trail cam mode, the batteries last dang near forever. Its a great camera.

My plot watchers are some of the best money I've spent. The batteries on the newer ones last unbelievably long... like a couple of months taking photos every 10 seconds for 10-12 hours a day. I have not tested them in the hot summer though. Gonna check it in a week or two and will see.

Your expectations have to be right. It's not a high-res camera. It's more for general views of large areas.
