I posted this in the Photos section but thought I'd share it here also. I'm a fairly new hunter. Always wanted to hunt but no one in my family did. This last year I finally took the hunter education and started hunting. First couple of hunts I came up with nothing. Decided to give hogs a rest for a little while and focus on other game. Scheduled a Red Deer Hind hunt through DB Hunting Ranch for this last Saturday. While looking for the Red Deer we kept passing this same hog that was sleeping. I didn't want to shoot it though in fear that the shot would push everything further in. I'd say we probably passed this hog 5 times and it didn't raise it's head once. Finally we were able to connect on the Red Deer. After loading it up I told the guide that if that hog was still sleeping it was mine. Sure enough we got over to the spot and it was still there. One round to the head and that was it. I am officially hooked.

Tikka T3 in .270 to the head. Wasn't planning on hog hunting, was out for Red Deer.
