Just a heads up: Federal WF2084 Speed-Shok Waterfowl 20ga 2 3/4" 3/4 oz 4 Shot $6.81 a box of 25 Cheaper Than Dirt had it or $6.73 + tax My old 1100, 303 and Light 20 are 2 3/4" only. I have plenty of 3" loads and wanted to stock up on 2 3/4" steel and found this. According to the guy I spoke to, they have plenty of it in stock.

None that you probably don't already know about, but I do have a source for Federal Ultra Shok 1oz #3 3" @ 1350fps, this has been discontinued in favor of the Speed Shok.
I have never been able to get the Kent 20ga loads to actually chronograph faster than 1475fps out of any barrel using two different chronographs. The Federals have always been close even on the 2 3/4" loads in the Ultra Shok line.
Buds has the Kent 3" #3 in stock if you're interested.

Do you ever run across any Kent 3" 20ga FastSteel in #3's??? Let me know if you need some... I buy all mine from tackle town in Rockport..always has it in stock 3&4 #'s

What about the Ultra Shoks would make them better than the Speed Shoks? I currently use the 3" #3s in speed shok that you mentioned.

David, Did the Kent's aveage 1475 or that's just the fastest? How fast are the 3" Feds? I think you know what speeds I'm looking for.  Let me know if you need some... I buy all mine from tackle town in Rockport..always has it in stock 3&4 #'s Might take you up on that John. Can't reload the 20ga at the speeds I want and haven't had any luck finding the 3's. My gun patterns the 3's best.

They averaged 1450/1460fps, I will have to dig the log book out, but I remember they had a very small ED window.
The Ultra Shoks are a much cleaner burning shell for me than the Speed Shok, the components look the same, powder didn't.
I liked them enough to buy 10 cases of the 3" #3s just so I would have them for several yrs.
