Not the best gun but the best value is the Mossberg 930, Franchi Affinity, and Beretta 3901.
Don’t roll those bloodshot eyes at me.

The LOP on the Beretta is much longer than the other two.

I personally like the FRANCHI I-12. Handles very well. Only drawback (not a problem in my opinion) is it is chambered for 2 3/4" & 3" only. Not a fan. I switched to an Xtrema because I was sick of misfires...
the thing about baiting is, even a rookie hunter could have a 170 bird season if they bait holes

I've had great luck with the "walmart" Beretta 390. I believe it was right around $600. Worked flawlessley for the last few years even after getting wet. Cycles dove loads easily too.

I have a Super Vinci, old 1100 and a 870 from the mid 90s. The Vinci is awesome and I take it out nearly every time but if I had to have one gun the rest of my life it'd be my 1100. It's a 78 model so I'm not sure how it stacks up against the new 1100s but it shoots when my buddies guns are jamming and it fits me better than any other gun I've shouldered. Only thing I've done to it in 12 years is change the O rings...

I guess it's better to dig up an old thread vs starting it all over again as if it had not already been talked about dozens of times.
Dear Lord please bullwhip me for saying this but I agree, Marcstar is in the lead. Please nobody use this as a quote!!!

What is the best valued auto shotgun out now. Wanting it for duck hunting primarily. The best valued or the best? Two completely different options.

I switched to an Xtrema because I was sick of misfires... I bought two Affinity's and think they are great. They replaced the I-12 and supposedly don't have the issues the I-12 had. My 12 gauge even cycles 1 oz loads without a single FTC.

Like others above, I have a Vinci (black, regular version) and love it! Although, I made the mistake of letting my older son use it for dove hunting last winter. It's now the only gun he wants to shoot. I guess, I'll just have to use my 20ga cordoba this season.

I just sold a miroku made A5 for $500 in 98% condition.
It's not current production, but one of those will outlast you if it fits you.
Thought for the day: Ducks were almost hunted to extinction long before camo was invented.

I bought a Weatherby SA-08 last year and used it all year without cleaning and it worked like a champ. Put atleast 300-400 shells through it including some buck shot. Very versatile light weight and swings good. Will take up to a 3in shell. Oh yeah and it only cost me 400$

I shoot a SBE II but i really like the Vinci. I also won a escort gun at the DU banquet last year. It shoots very good also for a 400$ auto shotgun.
JUST HERE TO HAVE A GOOD TIME I dont understand people that dont duck hunt

vinci. never had the finger rub, but if you fire enough heavy load shots, feels like a broken knuckle by the end of the day. just reminds me of the fun hunt i just had.
OMG, this is the best slumber party ever!
