Bull Elk hunts are $5695 for any size bull with lodging, guiding, meals, and skinning/basic quartering. Most ranches in the area charge by inches and start at about $6500 for a smaller bull. We only do 3 to 4 bull hunts a year.
Cow hunts are $1200, typically 2 day semi guided hunts with 1 nights lodging. 3 to 5 hunters at a time.

Yeah Bobo's hunt was tough. It was rain, rain, and more rain right before they got there so the elk weren't doing much of anything.

I am batting 500 on the elk hunts with Mike, one of the other guys in the group on the first hunt got the 374 bull, on the second hunt I got an older 4X5 bull that provided best flavored elk meat I have ever tasted. We saw 30+ elk that second trip and close to half those were bulls.
Mike are those pics from Howard's place?

Great Photos, thanks for sharing. Without naming anyone. Last Januray; friend of mine from San Angelo. Sent me a photo of a 6pt. Bull-Elk; on the ground. It just wandered up to a feeder. BOOM! Taken in Sutton County. If there that far North East of the above photos; then they are on the move. It was taken on a private ranch.

The Rocky Mountian Elk Foundation and Boone and Crockett reconize there are free range wild elk in at least 5 mountian ranges in far west Texas. But with elk in Texas classified as exotics by the state, even if 400 class bull is taken here Boone and Crocket will not reconize it.
There are elk from high fence places on low fence ranches in a lot of Texas but many meet the fate the one you gor a picture of.
